The base consists of two pieces of glass fused together, with flowers, leaves, or other elements added in a second firing.
Making the knob, which serves as the hook, and adding its elements, requires additional fusings. Like the cabinet pulls, these are solid pieces of glass with a channel preserved for hardware.
I designed these with a spacer on the back which lets the finished piece stand off from the wall, allowing light to come through.
My preference is to use an S hook, which displays more of the glass, but that's your choice.
The hooks arrive on your doorstep with the hanger bolt and spacer. All you need is a drywall anchor to hang it, and an S hook if you're using one.
Wall Hook - Green Mix Cathedral
$40.00Price
- The base is 3 1/2" in diameter. I start by cutting a clear glass circle and fuse it with a green frit mix and add a splash of red. The decal reproduction of a stained glass cathedral window is added in a 2nd fusing.
- It arrives on your doorstep with the hanger bolt and spacer. All you need is a drywall anchor to hang it, and an S hook if you're using one. (See photo labeled "components.")
